Over 100,000 People Attend 22nd Annual Event in Cambridge, MA

(Natick, MA)--MAY 2, 2005--Project Perú, Inc., a non-profit aid organization focused on the welfare of Peruvian children, provided tremendous visibility and delivered a wonderful cultural experience yesterday at Harvard Square's 22nd Annual MayFair event.

Project Perú was one of several hundred non-profits, artisans and other vendors who were accepted to participate in the annual event where more than 100,000 people attended.  Project Perú delivered a strong presence through visibility with its 6' banner, provided Peruvian food and drink and live Peruvian music to the huge crowds who swarmed to enrich themselves in a wonderful experience.  The organization also distributed literature, provided tremendous visibility to the organization, garnered discussion and interest in the charity and collected donations.

“Even the black skies couldn't keep the crowds away,” gushed, Stephen Drake, Project Perú co-founder and chairman. “MayFair was a wonderful way to externalize our organization to the hundreds of thousands of people attending.  They were endeared to our organization and were treated with live Peruvian music and Peruvian food and drink - soaking in the entire experience.”

Alfredo Vasquez, of local group, Alfredo & Son Del Sol, performed solo, the charming Andes music, at the Project Perú booth that created crowds that blocked the street.  Non-profits, vendors, artisans and on-lookers were drawn to our booth and had a keen interest in the organization.
